Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has taken a significant stride towards advancing its Development Road project by enlisting the consultancy services of US-based firm Oliver Wyman. This move comes on the heels of a quadripartite agreement signed between Iraq, Turkey, the UAE, and Qatar, underscoring a collaborative effort to bolster infrastructure development in Iraq.

The Development Road project, valued at $17 billion, aims to establish vital transportation links connecting the Al-Faw Grand Port in southern Iraq to the Turkish border, extending both railway and road networks.

Beyond enhancing domestic connectivity, this initiative is poised to stimulate international trade, streamline the movement of goods, and foster regional economic growth, thereby positioning Iraq as a key player in the global logistics network.

By partnering with Oliver Wyman, renowned for its expertise in transportation consultancy, the Iraqi Ministry of Transport demonstrates a strategic approach to project execution, leveraging international best practices to maximize the project’s impact.
