Kuwaiti MP charged with attempt to dismantle Iraq’s unity

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Legislature of al-Iraqiya Coalition, Iskandar Witwit, has charged the Member of Kuwait’s Umma (Parliament), Abdul-Rahman al-Anjary with instigation to “plant poisons” in order to dismantle Iraq’s unity.   Al-Anjary had charged Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and his al-Daawa Party, with implementing an “Iranian agenda and to rule a country that is divided in a sectarian manner,” pointing out that Iraq “is semi-divided, with its north for the Kurds and the south, practically controlled by the Shiites, with the Sunnis lost between those and those.”   Witwit told IraqiNews.com that “the said statement was a clear poisoning against Iraqis and their unity, thing that is completely rejected,” adding that “the Kuwaitis began to be hostile towards the pride of the Iraqis and they know well what the respect of Iraqis means, and everything has its limits; so I call them to return to their minds, and to stop being hostile against us.”   “To say that Iraq is divided between the Kurds and the Shiite sect is nothing but a Kuwaiti plan and those who support the dismantling of Iraq ’s unity.. Iraq is united and such statement is nothing but planting poison to harm Iraq and its unity,” Witwit said.   Noteworthy is that Iraqi-Kuwaiti differences have escalated after Kuwait’s beginning with the construction of its Grand Mubarak Port in Bobian Island, close to the Iraqi coastal territories on April 6 th , one year after Iraq’s announcement of laying down the foundation stone for its Grand Faw Port, thing that created a crisis between both countries.   SKH (RT)   429
