Housing project in Basra to cost ID58b

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Works are underway to set up a 640-unit housing project in the district of Shatt al-Arab district at a total cost of 58 billion Iraqi dinars, according to a local source in Basra on Thursday. “The project envisages 640 housing units, to stand over an area of 56 donums, and would take two and half years in Shatt al-Arab district, east of Basra,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. One Iraqi donum equals 2500 square meters. “Fifty percent of the units will be offered to civil servants while the other half will be offered to relatives of martyrs, political prisoners and displaced persons,” he added.
