Rocket attack sets fire to oil reserve field in South Iraq

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: An oil reserve field in southern Iraq’s Zubeir Oil Field was set on fire due to a rocket attack on Sunday, according to a security source.   “One of the oil reserve fields in southern Iraq’s Zubeir Oil Fields, 45 km to the south of Basra, was set on fire due to a rocket attack on Sunday,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said the field’s capacity exceeds 30,000 cubic meters, and was visited by Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristany on Saturday.   Basra is 590 km to the south of Baghdad.   SKH (TP)/SR 1209
