Iraqi-Japanese investment conference held
BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Basra’s Investment Commission organized today a joint conference for Iraqi and Japanese businessmen to familiarize each other with the possibilities of investment in the province. Haidar Ali Fadhil told IraqiNews.com that the aim of the conference is to “attract Japanese investors to Iraq.” The Japanese companies were interested in the oil and gas industries, as well as port specializations. “The Commission presented options for the Japanese companies to invest in the industrial city at a cost of 200 million dollars,” he added. 27 Japanese companies attended the conference.
