1.580 trillion dinar Basra Development Plan

  BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Southern Iraq Basra Province’s Council has completed a plan for Basra Province for the year 2012, for a total cost of 1.580 trillion Iraqi dinars, its Development Committee Chairman reported on Friday.   “We have completed a plan for the Basra Province ’s projects for the year 2012, covering all sectors for a total cost of 1.580 trillion Iraqi dinars,” Mustapha Attiya told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He stressed that the said figure “covers the allocations granted for Basra Province , including the Region’s development budget, as well as the revenues of the petrodollar budget.”   “ Basra Province next month shall be a large workshop, as there are several large and important projects, covering different sectors,” he said, adding that “the electricity and water sectors shall gain the priority.”   Basra , the center of Basra Province , is 590 km to the south of Baghdad .   SKH (IT)
