Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq’s oil exports to the United States increased last week.

The EIA mentioned that the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from eight major countries reached approximately 5.24 million barrels per day, a decline of 406,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, where US oil imports reached around 5.64 million barrels per day, Shafaq News reported.

Iraq’s oil exports to the United States reached 239,000 barrels per day last week, an increase of 116,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, when Iraq exported 123,000 barrels per day.

The EIA indicated that most of the United States imports of crude oil during the past week came from Canada at an average of 3.49 million barrels per day, followed by Saudi Arabia with an average of 486,000 barrels per day and Brazil with an average of 315,000 barrels per day.

The United States imported an average of 215,000 barrels per day from Colombia, 184,000 barrels per day from Mexico, 163,000 barrels per day from Ecuador, and 144,000 barrels per day from Nigeria.
