DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The Director of Passport & Nationality Department of northeast Iraq’s Diala Province, has escaped an assassination attempt, when an explosive charge blew off close to his house in Baaquba city, wounding 3 persons and causing damage to the house, a Diala police source said on Monday.  “An explosive charge blew up close to the house of Diala’s Passport & Nationality Department’s Director, Brigadier Kamal al-Tamimy in central Baaquba on Monday, wounding 3 persons, including a woman, who were near to the venue of the blast and caused severe damage to the house,” the police source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Baaquba, the center of Diala Province, is 57 km to the northeast of Baghdad.
