Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce (FICC), Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairi, and the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, discussed efforts to form a joint business council.

The FICC mentioned in a statement that the two sides discussed ideas to expand trade and economic connections, as well as the formation of a joint business council, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

Al-Zuhairi emphasized that Iraq has balanced relations with countries supporting its approach to economic development.

The meeting addressed strategies to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries and prospects for cooperation with the Iraqi chambers of commerce to enhance the economic partnership and boost economic activities with the public and private sectors.

The US Ambassador to Iraq stressed the need to overcome all difficulties in terms of providing investors and businessmen with entry visas.

The two sides also expressed pleasure with their collaborative efforts in trade and economic fields.
