Zainab Al-Ani is a 22-year-old talented Iraqi artist who has been suffering from nervous tension disease for many years. For her, drawing became the only way to cope with her pain, ultimately transforming her into a fine artist. “Drawing was the only way to express all I am feeling,” Zainab shares, “I draw what is inside me whether I am happy or depressed.”

Zainab chose to draw with needle and thread, finding it both unique and unusual. “No one taught me this art. I tried to excel in it on my own, and thank God I was very satisfied with the results. I proved to the whole world that I am capable,” says Zainab Al-Ani.

Zainab has participated in numerous exhibitions, including those organized by the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and the Bayt Al-Shabab exhibition alongside other Iraqi artists. Her growing recognition and talent eventually allowed her to conduct her own solo exhibitions.
