SPORTS: North Iraqi Club imposes million dinar fine on soccer player:

DUHUK / IraqiNews.com: North Iraq Zakho City’s Sport Club has imposed a million Iraqi dinar (US$900 approx.) fine on its Goal-Keeper, Nour Sabri, due the imposition of a red card on him during a soccer match by his club against the Industry Club’s soccer team last Saturday. “Zakho Club’s has imposed a one million dinar fine on the International Soccer Goal-Keeper, Nour Sabri, because he got a red-card at minute-75 from the Club’s last soccer match against the Industry Club’s team, that ended with Zakho Team’s winning of 2 to 1 goals, within Northern Iraq’s soccer tournaments,” the Club’s media spokesman said. Goal-Keeper Sabri, on his part, expressed regret for his expulsion from the said game, saying that “the red-card had been the first he got during his 11-season matches,” adding that the Industry Club’s Player, Iyad Shaalan, had used a hostile talk against him, thing that made him lose his temper and made the match referee to raise the red-card in his face.
