Security plan in Karbala to protect demonstrators

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Security authorities in Karbala started on Friday implementing a plan to protect protestors and prevent acts of violence, Karbala police’s media department director said. “The forces started implementing a security plan to protect protestors, who will call for better services in the province,” Major Alaa al-Ghanemi told IraqiNews.com news agency, urging them to remain peaceful and avoid attacking public properties. Several provinces in Iraq witness massive demonstrations, calling for improving services and fighting administrative corruption and unemployment. Karbala lies 108 km south of Baghdad. SH (TP) 521
