Three wanted men, including IED expert, arrested

  KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com – A joint force, belonging to northern Iraq Kirkuk city’s Police Directorate, has arrested three wanted men, including an expert in production improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and sticking explosive charges, according to a Kirkuk Police Director on Saturday.   “A joint force, belonging to our Police Directorate, the Iraqi Army and a U.S. Army force, had carried out a special mission in Safra village of al-Riyadh township, 45 kms to the west of Kirkuk, arresting two wanted men according to Article 4-Terrorism, belonging to Ansar al-Sunna and al-Qaeda groups,” Brigadier Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency.   “A third wanted man, belonging to al-Naqshabandiya group, was arrested in Hawija township, 65 kms to the west of Kirkuk ,” he said.   He said that “one of the detained persons, called Muntasir Ahmed Jassim, belonging to Ansar al-Sunna group, is an expert in manufacturing IEDs and sticking explosive charges.”   Kirkuk is 250 kms to the northeast of Baghdad .     .
