Police captain killed in explosive charge blast in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A police officer, with a captain rank, has been killed in an explosive charge blast in his car southwest of Kirkuk city on Sunday, an office in Kirkuk ’s al-Miqdad Police Center said.   “An explosive charge, stuck to a car of a police officer, with a captain rank, blew off when he passed through southwest Kirkuk’s al-Wassity district on Sunday, killing him on the spot,” Lt. Brigadier, Ghazi Ali, told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Noteworthy is that Kirkuk, 280 km to the northeast of Baghdad, had witnessed the killing of a policeman and wounding of his wife and child, in an explosive charge that blew off under their car early in the day.   SKH (PT)   754
