Civilian killed 5 detained in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi civilian has been killed by unknown gunmen close to his house in southern Kirkuk on Wednesday night, whilst the city’s Emergency Police had arrested 5 suspected persons on the same day, a Kirkuk Joint Coordination Center source reported on Thursday.   “A group of armed men have killed a civilian on Wednesday night, when they opened fire on him, close to his house in southern Kirkuk ’s al-Urouba district,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that an Emergency Police force had detained 5 suspected persons, in an offensive and inspection campaign in Kirkuk ’s March 1 district, giving no further details.   The oil-rich city of Kirkuk is 280 km to the northeast of Baghdad .   SKH (ST) 777
