Iraqi soldiers seize large arms depot in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A force from the Iraqi army’s 5 th Division seized a large weapons cache southeast of Baaquba on Friday, a Division’s media source said. “Military forces from the 1 st and 3 rd contingents of the Iraqi army’s 5 th Division conducted an operation in the area of Raka Hussein al-Hammadi, (5 km) southeast of Baaquba city, seizing a large cache containing 247 containers of munitions, five Italian-made improvised explosive devices and three Katyusha rockets,” the source told IraqiNews.com. Iraqi forces have been conducting a large-scale security operation codenamed Bashaer al-Kheir (Promise of Good) in Diala.
