South Iraq’s Missan Council confers with Iranian Delegation on electricity power imports.

  MISSAN / IraqiNews.com – The Chairman of southern Iraq’s Missan Province has discussed with a delegation, representing Iran’s Khuzestan Province, possibility to conclude an agreement to import electric power from Iran, a Council Media coordinator said on Wednesday.   “Missan Council’s Chairman, Abdul-Hussein al-Saedy, has discussed today (Wednesday) with the Representative of Iranian Khuzestan Province, Dahlawi, the means for activating joint agreements,” pointing out that special attention was made on the importation of electric power from Iran .   He said the meeting had discussed “the implementation of the Karkha-Missan Electric Power project and possibility to link Missan’s National Electric Power Line, allocating it for the Province only, in order to treat the power problem in the province.”   Amara, the center of Missan Province , is 390 kms to the south of Baghdad .   ST / SKH 405
