Sixteen billion dinars for agricultural projects in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com:  Missan‘s Provincial Council allocated the amount of 16 billion Iraqi dinars for agricultural and irrigational projects for the year 2012.   Head of the Agricultural and Water Resources Commission Hassan Lazim told IraqiNews.com that 9 billion dinars were allocated for the green belt around Immara city and the expansion of woods form 50 donums to 150, in addition to buying specialized equipment.   He added that 7 billion dinars were allocated for the irrigational projects to erect small dams.   Amara, center of Missan province, lies 390 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
