Sistani’s prior commitments kept him from meeting Cardinal Deli

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: The reason that Ali Sistani was unable to meet with Chaldean Cardinal Emanuel Deli III was due to his heavy time schedule with pre-arranged meetings, close sources to Sistani said today.   “There was a mistake in determining a pre-arranged appointment, when Sistani’s office was suddenly called for the meeting,” the source told IraqiNews.com.    “Sistani’s meetings are pre-arranged, there was no other reason for canceling the meeting,” the source added.   Cardinal Deli visited Missan and Basra province before heading to Najaf on a visit to inspect some of the Chaldean churches in these areas.
