2 soldiers, woman wounded in IED blast near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two soldiers and a woman were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off near their private vehicle south of Mosul city on Friday, a local security source in Ninewa said. “The IED went off near the private vehicle of two Iraqi soldiers and a woman in Kunaytera village, Hammam al-Aleel district, south of Mosul, leaving them wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The two soldiers, who belong to the Iraqi army’s 3rd Division Headquarters in al-Kasak area, west of Mosul, were on a leave during the attack,” he added, not giving more information about the incident. Mosul, the capital city of the violence-ridden multi-ethnic province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 69
