Iraqi soldier killed, 2 wounded by blast in eastern Mosul
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi soldier was killed and two more were wounded in a bomb blast in eastern Mosul, according to a security source. “An improvised explosive device went off on Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 23) targeting an Iraqi army vehicle patrol in Sumer neighborhood, eastern Mosul, killing a soldier and injuring two more,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The force cordoned off the region and the wounded were carried to a nearby hospital, while the body was sent to the morgue in Mosul,” he added.
