Soldier wounded by roadside bomb in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi soldier was wounded on Sunday by a roadside bomb blast in northern Mosul, according to a security source. “A roadside bomb went off on Sunday (Feb. 6), targeting an army vehicle patrol in al-Majmouaa al-Thaqafiya region, northern Mosul, injuring an Iraqi soldier,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The army cordoned off the region and started to hunt down the perpetrators,” the source added, noting that the wounded was carried to a nearby hospital for treatment. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (TP)/SR 808
