Body of kidnapped student found near Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A police force found the body of a student who had been kidnapped a few days ago west of Mosul city on Monday, a security source said. “Policemen on Monday morning found the body of a student in the preparatory stage of education in the village of Umm al-Shababeet, Sinjar district, west of Mosul, showing signs of having been shot in the head and chest,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The student had been kidnapped three days ago,” he said, adding the police launched a probe into the incident. He did not give more information. Mosul, the capital city of the restive province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.   AmR (TP)/SR 568
