NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Dozens of mud houses have collapsed by floods, caused by heavy rain and storms that hit northern Iraq ’s Sinjar townships, where two persons were considered as lost, a Ninewa Council Member said on Friday. “About 40 houses have completely collapsed on Friday, by floods, caused by heavy rain and storms that hit the area on Friday,” Khudeida Khalaf Abdo told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that huge floods have occurred in several villages and housing compounds in Sinjar township, west of Mosul , where two citizens, including a child, were considered as “lost,” Abdo said, giving no further details. Mosul , the center of Ninewa Province , is 405 km to the north of Baghdad . SKH (ST)
