Cornerstone laid for Ninewa gas power station
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity laid the cornerstone for Ninewa‘s gas power station in Qayara area (60 km south of Mosul) at a total cost of 388 million dollars, and a capacity of 750 megawatt. The Head of the Power and Services Commission in Ninewa‘s Provincial Council, Mohammed Abdulla al-Jubori, told IraqiNews.com that this is the second project to be implemented by a Turkish company in Iraq. The first was in Karbala, south of Baghdad, where the project’s cornerstone was laid two weeks ago. The duration of the project shall be within 20 months.
