Dissatisfaction with service departments – Ninewa governor
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Ninewa’s governor expressed his dissatisfaction with the work of the services departments in the province, despite getting an A grade for the 100-day time table initiated by Premier Nouri al-Maliki on 28 February, 2011. He called yesterday’s events in Mosul as a “security failure.” Governor Ethil Nujaifi, in a press conference on the occasion of Mosul earning an A grade in services, said that “we earned this grade without extra financial allocations.” He shouldered the security forces with the responsibility for the breach that occurred yesterday (Saturday). “The success in services did not comply to that of the security. Conversely, we place responsibility on the security forces for being unable to protect the lives of the citizens,” he added. Four were killed and 52 wounded in two cars bombs in the center of Mosul, targeting a military patrol. Mosul, the center of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of the capital, Baghdad. RM (TI)/SR 422
