Iraqi civilian killed, child – policeman, injured in Mosul blast

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi civilian has been killed, a policeman and a child injured, in an explosive charge blast in central Mosul on Wednesday, a Ninewa security source said.   “A civilian was killed, a child and a policeman were injured, in an explosive charge blast, targeted against a police patrol in central Mosul’s Khazraj district on Wednesday,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that the explosive charge blew off when the police patrol passed through the area, when the victim and the child were close to the venue of the blast, adding that both the injured child and the policeman, were driven to a nearby hospital for treatment.   Mosul, the center of north Iraq’s Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of Baghdad.   SKH (TS)/SR 508
