Cop killed in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A cop was killed in an attack against a police checkpoint west of Mosul.   A security source told IraqiNews.com that “an armed group carried out an attack against a police checkpoint, which resulted in the death of one cop.”   The culprits fled the scene, the source reported.   Mosul, the center of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
