Clash between Ninewa Governor’s guards – Army injures 2 soldiers, policeman

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two soldiers and a policeman have been injured in a clash between a group of Iraqi Army soldiers and the guards of north Iraq Ninewa Governor, Athil al-Nujeify, a Ninewa security source reported on Friday.   “A clash took place between the Army force and Governor Nujeify’s guards on Friday night in central Mosul , where the residence of Ninewa Governor exists, while the Governor was on his way home, the source told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that 2 soldiers and a policeman were injured.   “The clash took place in my presence, followed by the exchange of shooting when I came down to settle the clash,” Governor Nujeify said.   Asked whether any certain party had been behind the clash, Nujeify said: “I can’t accuse any party with being behind the clash and I think it had been fabricated, but investigations shall prove whether it had been a fabricated or a normal clash, especially that it had witnessed the exchange of fire.”   SKH (IT) 340
