Suicide attack leaves 45 casualties in Tikrit

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: At least 15 persons were killed and 30 others were wounded in a suicide bombing attack in central Tikrit, a police source said on Tuesday. “A suicide bomber blew up an explosive belt strapped to his body near a police recruitment center in the festivities square in central Tikrit, killing 15 and injuring 30,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Ambulances rushed to the scene to carry the wounded to hospitals, while security forces cordoned off the region,” he added.
