Salahaddin’s Governor escapes assassination attempt:

SALAHADDIN / IraqiNews.com: North-Central Iraq’s Salahaddin Province‘s Governor, Ahmed Abdullah al-Jibouri, has escaped an assassination attempt, when his motorcade was attacked by an explosive charge in northern Tikrit, wounding five of his guards, a security source said. “Salahaddin Governor, Ahmed Abdullah al-Jibouri, has escaped an assassination attempt when an explosive charge blew off against his motorcade in northern Tikrit’s al-Qadisiya district, wounding five of his guards, as a preliminary result,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency on Monday, adding that a number of the motorcade’s vehicles have been damaged.
