High-ranking officer, 2 policemen, injured in Salahal-Din.

SALAHAL-DIN: The Director of the 2 nd Coast in Salahal-Din police has been injured together with one of his guards and an explosives expert, in two explosive charges blasts in Salahal-Din’s Shirgat and Samarra townships on Tuesday, a security source said.   “An explosive charge blew off on Tuesday against a vehicle, belonging to the Director of the Left Side of Salahal-Din’s Shirgat township, 100 km to the north of Tikrit, while on his way for work, seriously wounding him and one of his guards,” the security source said.   In another incident, the security source pointed out that “a policeman in the anti-explosives police was seriously injured, while trying to dismantle an explosive charge, planted on the highway passing through northern Samarra , 120 km to the north of Baghdad .”   Salahal-Din Province is 175 km to the north of Baghdad .   SKH (ST) 665
