9 Peshmerga fighters wounded in road accident in Sulaimaniya

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The Sulaimaniya Public Hospital on Friday received nine Peshmerga fighters after their vehicle had a road accident in the central part of the city, according to the hospital director. “The condition of all wounded nine men is generally stable,” Rikot Rasheed told IraqiNews.com news agency. Peshmerga is the term used by Kurds to refer to armed Kurdish fighters. Literally meaning “those who face death” ( Pesh front + marg death), the Peshmerga forces of Kurdistan have been in existence since the advent of the Kurdish independence movement in the early 1920s.
