Wassit council discusses investment ventures with Turkish firms

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Wassit Provincial Council discussed Sunday with a number of Turkish firms the possibility of implementing investment ventures in the province, according to the information committee chairman. “Council Chairman Mahmoud Abdulreda discussed today (Feb. 13) with a consortium of Turkish firms means to carry out projects in the province in the fields of cleaning, water networks and urban communities,” Sondos al-Dhahabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The designs of four new cities in the province – al-Dabouni, al-Noamaniya, al-Hafriya and al-Suwayra – will be announced,” she said. Dhahabi noted that the council has warned the blacklisted companies against implementing service and urban projects in the province under other names. “The names of those companies will be announced this week.” Wassit lies 180 km southeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
