Parliamentarian’s guard arrested in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Security forces arrested on Tuesday a bodyguard of a parliamentarian in northern Wassit, commander of the Quick Response Department said. “QRD forces managed to arrest a bodyguard of the parliamentarian, Kazem al-Sayadi, in al-Khanasa region in al-Suweira district, north of Kut,” Colonel Aziz al-Amara told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The operation was launched in light of intelligence information,” he added, noting that the forces found explosive materials in his possession. Al-Sayadi belongs to al-Ahrar bloc, a main component of the National Alliance. Kut, the capital of Wassit, lies 180 km south of Baghdad. SH (P) 150
