Mother gives birth to quadruplet in south Iraq’s Wassit Province.

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com – A young mother in southern Iraq ’s Wassit Province has given birth to a quadruplet, three males and a female, the doctor, who carried her operation said on Saturday.   “A 27-year-old mother has given birth on Friday night to a quadruplet, in an operation that took about one hour in al-Haj Jalal Hospital in Numaniya township, 40 kms to the north of Kut, the center of Wassit Province,” Dr. Azhar told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that three were males and one a female.   She said the three males and their mother were in good health, but the female died during the operation, adding that the said case had been the first and a rare case witnessed by her hospital during the past few years.   Kut, the center of Wassit Province , is 180 kms to the southeast of Baghdad .   PT / SKH 389
