Kidnapped woman freed in Wasit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A kidnapped woman was freed and her abductors arrested in a security operation north of the province, police sources said today.  The source informed IraqiNews.com that based on intelligence information, a police force raided one of the houses in Suwaira Qadha‘ (administrative unit) to free a kidnapped woman.  Following an exchange of fire, the police force was able to arrest the kidnapper.  No details were given for the kidnapping.  Kut, the center of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of the capital, Baghdad.
