Kurdistan Parliament passes Shura Council law

Diala-Qaeda ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The parliament of the Iraqi Kurdistan region on Monday passed the region’s Shura Council bill, after omitting and amending a number of items, according to a release issued by the parliament. “Adnan al-Mufti, the parliament’s speaker, headed today’s session that enacted the bill,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com. “Lawmakers also unanimously approved the resignation of Dr. Nouri Talabani from the membership of the two committees of constitution drafting and legal affairs,” it added. “Debating over amendments to the social affairs law number 188 of 1959 was postponed,” it noted.
