Tikrit University president resigns

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Approval was granted for the resignation of Tikrit University‘s president, in protest for firing more than 150 university teachers, university source said here today. The source told IraqiNews.com that the Ministry of Higher Education agreed to this resignation of Dr.Ali Saleh Hussein. Dr.Hussein resigned in protest for firing, under Baathist pretext, more than 150 university teachers. Tikrit, the center of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
