Journalist detained for hours in Baghdad University

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Society to Defend Journalists Rights reported that Baghdad University security detained a she-journalists for covering a sit-in made by the students demanding the cancellation of unified uniform. Head of the Society Ibraheem al-Saraji told IraqiNews.com detained the journalist as “not having prior approvals”. She was detained for several hours till head of Iraqi Journalists Union Mu’ayad al-Lami intervened. The Society demanded an immediate investigation in this incident.
