Three Support Councils established in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The official spokesman for the Diala Support Councils said that three new councils were established on Wednesday morning in the province as part of the national reconciliation process.

“This morning, three government-backed Tribes Support Councils were established in Baladruz district, southeast of Baaquba, Mindli and Qazaniya regions in the district,” Shiekh Sabah Shukr al-Shemri told IraqiNews.com.

“The new established councils raised the total number of the Support Councils in Diala to 14,” he also said, adding no more details.

The Support Councils were established in a number of provinces; Anbar, Diala, Ninewa and Salah el-Din to fight armed groups, mainly al-Qaeda.

Baaquba,, the capital of Diala, is 57 km northeast of Baghdad
