Al-Qaeda wanted man detained, depot found in Diala

Diala-Weapons DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi police forces on Tuesday arrested an al-Qaeda wanted man and seized a weapons cache in Khaniqeen, a security source said. “Policemen waged a security operation in Jalawlaa region in Khaniqeen district, northeast of Baaquba, where they arrested an al-Qaeda wanted man,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The forces also launched a security operation in Telal Hamrien region in Khaniqeen district this afternoon and found a weapons depot,” he added. Iraqi forces have been conducting a large-scale security operation codenamed Bashaer al-Kheir (Promise of Good) in Diala. Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad.
