Al-Mashhadani says partnership with EP successful project

Iraq-Parliament BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Speaker of the Iraqi parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani said on Tuesday there are several factors considered enough to render the parliamentary partnership between Iraq and Europe a success. “The Iraqi-European parliamentary partnership is a successful project for several reasons, including historic relations and Europe’s opening perspective toward Iraq,” said al-Mashhadani during his meeting with the head of the Iraqi affairs delegation for the European Parliament, Baroness Emma Nicholson. For her part, the baroness presented an explanation of the European Parliament’s nature and the mechanism of its work, urging European MPs to ink real partnerships with Iraq.
