Unknown body found in eastern Mosul

Mosul-Bodies NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces found on Tuesday an unknown body in eastern Mosul, a security source said. “Police found an unidentified corpse in al-Nour neighborhood in eastern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The body bore signs of gunshot wounds to the head and the chest,” he added. “It was sent to the forensic medicine department,” he noted, without giving more details. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. The original city of Mosul stands on the west bank of the Tigris River, opposite the ancient biblical city of Nineveh on the east bank, but the metropolitan area has now grown to encompass substantial areas on both banks, with five bridges linking the two sides.
