Call to form political committee to supervise investigations, Nujaifi

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi expressed his dissatisfaction of the recent tensions that stormed the country by issuing an arrest warrant against Vice-President Tariq al-Hashim and broadcasting confession of his implication in terrorist acts. In a statement, copy received by IraqiNews.com, he called for transparent investigation by forming a joint committee comprising all political entities to supervise the investigation procedures. On the other hand, he urged all political segments to support convening a general national conference, in support of the suggestion made by Kurdish President Masoud Barzani. Iraqiya bloc, headed by Iyad Alawi,  announced today that it will object for the warrant issue and stressed that the confessions were done under torture.  836
