Turkish ambassador discusses starting consulate in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The Turkish ambassador in Iraq said that he conferred with a number of Basra officials on the issue of starting a Turkish consulate in the province, explaining that the consulate will seek to take care of important mutual issues between Basra and Turkey. “There are three proposed locations for the construction of the consulate’s building,” the ambassador told IraqiNews.com. “The consulate will open soon, and then there will be important economic, trade, and cultural work between Turkey and Basra,” he said.
