Iraqiya bloc under strong media defamation campaign, spokeswoman

Baghdad / IraqiNews.com : Iraqiya spokeswoman Maysoon al-Damalouji said today that her bloc “is under a media campaign organized by some quarters to defame its national projects and members”. She did not name these quarters, but charged them with defamation of her block. In a statement, she added that these quarters are using weak elements or did not win in the previous elections for these ends. She confirmed that the bloc is “adherent to its national project that will gather Iraqis under the law and constitution”. Damalouji added that “the bloc cannot oblige its members to stay with it, if they chose to leave it, but expressed astonishment for those who declared their separation from the bloc and they did not join it at all”.
