POLITICS: URGENT: Iraq’s Parliament session adjourned after decision by Kurdisn MPs to attend session

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A scheduled session of the Iraqi Parliament had been adjourned on Thursday, due to the non-completion of the legal majority for the session, the Parliament’s Legislature, Bassima Petros, announced. “The Parliament’s Thursday session has been adjourned, due to the non-completion of the session’s legal majority, because of the decision of the Kurdistan Alliance to attend the session,: Petros told IraqiNews.com news agency. She said the “Kurdistan Alliance did not attend the session, due to the refusal by Legislature, Hussein al-Assady, to present an apology to President Jalal Talabani, who he charged with having been involved in ‘terrorism.” “The members of the Kurdistan Alliance began to return to the session, but after its adjournment, after efforts to make it an exceptional session,” she added.
