URGENT / PUK nominates Freidun Abdl-Qadir Deputy PM of Kurdistan Region

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), one of two parties ruling north Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, together with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), has nominated Freidun Abdul-Qadir as Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, along with changing all Kurdistan’s ministers, with exception one minister, a source close to PUK reported on Monday. “PUK had met, under chairmanship of Jalal Talabani on Sunday night and nominated Freidun Abdul-Qadir for the post of the Region’s Deputy Prime Minister, along with changing all cabinet ministers, representing PUK with the exception of the Minister of Martyrs & Anfal Victims,”  the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Noteworthy is that the government of Kurdistan Region witnesses its changing once every two years, according to the strategic agreement, signed between PUK and the KDP. 802
