Civilian killed, cop injured in Kirkuk attack1/21/2012 11:41 AM KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi civilian has been killed and a police major injured in an attack by a group of unknown armed men southwest of northern Iraq’s oil-rich city of Kirkuk on Friday night, the city’s Police Director reported. “A group of unknown gunmen opened fire on the house of an officer in the Iraqi National Investigations in southwest Kirkuk‘s Hawija township, called Omar Ghadban, seriously wounding him and killing one of his relatives,” Lt-Brigadier Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. Kirkuk is 280 km to the northeast of Baghdad.
